The prevalence of emotional abuse is high, on average 80% percent
Emotional abuse is rampant yet ironically very difficult to identify. This is because it is so common, and to some extent accepted in modern society. It is crucial that we become more aware, to protect ourselves and loved ones as fervently as we would protect them from physical and sexual abuse.
Emotional abuse is just as damaging as other forms of abuse
Emotional abuse shows no visible sign, occurring within the mind and heart. Wounds can be healed, pain can be prevented. But, not if we don’t educate ourselves, not if we don’t push back against it. Emotional abuse is far too normal in our society.
This project is for everyone: Let’s create a new normal
This website is designed to create awareness, to help everyone build stronger relationships and to assist those who find themselves in abusive relationships. These relationships could be in families, schools or the workplace.
